Circle Double C Ranch

Circle Double C Ranch and the CC brand was founded in 1972 by Charles Allen Clark. He started the ranch near Houston, Texas, raising Santa Gertrudis and Black Angus cattle. Over the years land was acquired through acquisitions and family purchases. Circle Double C Ranch is now in Callahan County, near the city of Abilene and Aransas/San Patricio Counties, near the city of Rockport.

Circle Double C Ranch and the CC brand is carried on by Christopher (Cash) and Patrick A. Clark after the untimely death of Charles in 1996. They have both continued ranching and high fenced the Callahan County Properties in 2005 to introduce Exotics and Superior Whitetails. There are currently 12 different species of exotics such as Zebra, Schimtar Horned Oryx, Red lechewe, Axis deer, Fallow deer, Blackbuck Antelope, Aoudad, Rocky Mountain Elk, White Elk, Mouflon, Buffalo and Watusi. Guided Hunts are available for Trophy Quality only.

In 2009, Christopher purchased his first Texas Longhorns to carry on the CC brand as a way to honor his hero, his father. The herd now numbers around seventy with the Great JM SUE as the senior herd sire. JM SUE was acquired because Christopher really liked the legend in the breed VJ Tommie (aka Unlimited). JM SUE looks a lot like his father but has twelve more inches tip to tip.

In 2011, Patrick joined Christopher in pursuit of the top longhorns in the breed. They recently purchased SDR SPARTACUS with Tio Benito Longhorns from Dave Hovingh. They feel SPARTACUS is the next Premier Herd Sire in the breed. SPARTACUS is a JP RIO GRANDE son that has more horn at his age than any other Rio son known to exist. After using SPARTACUS for breeding in 2011, he was sold to John Wampler but will continue to be used through AI.

The newest additions as Herd Sires are CDC STARTEX and RR RED GRANDE owned in partnership with Tio Benito Longhorns.  These two young bulls have a ton of horn and we are excited to see how far past 80" TTT both go.
